HKEX's 6th Annaul RMB Fixed Income & Currency Conference

Pengyuan International has been honoured to be a participant of the event with the invitation to discuss Hong Kong as a rising bond issuance centre and how Chinese issuers move to global rating standards. 


‘The scepticism of the Chinese domestic rating scale is unfair as it serves different purposes from the global rating standards whilst it does carry information about credit risks of the Chinese issuers,’ said Jonathan Hu, CEO of Pengyuan International at the panel, ‘in order to make your investment decisions, it’s best to talk to the local experts who have distinct advantages with the local expertise and networks to build and disseminate knowledge on this rapidly developing market.’

On 2 April, Mr. Stanley Tsai, Managing Director of Pengyuan  International's FInancial Institution Ratings, joined Mr. Gary Lam, Head of Greater China Banks Research of HSBC, to discuss the methodologies for assessing D-SIB candidates and credit implications of the new regulations.


Wall Street Trader App's 2nd Chinese USD Bonds Summit

On 12 April, Pengyuan International joined  the 2nd Chinese USD Bonds Summit hosted by the Wall Street Trader App. 

At the summit, Pengyuan International discussed with various market participants including investors and intermediaries the challenges and opportunities of Chinese USD bonds, investing in non-performing bonds, and how to avoid defaults.
